Corporate Legal Administrative Assistant - Downtown Langley

They are seeking to add a Corporate Legal Administrative Assistant to their team.  The ideal candidate will have astrong sense of initiative and work well both individually and as part of a team.This is a full-time, in-office position. Parking is available for staff.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for all aspects of managing client and file information including but not limited to;

  •  Document preparation and editing, file maintenance and management using firm precedents
  • Opening new client files and running conflict checks
  • Maintaining an efficient file management system, time entry, bring forward systems and calendaring including scheduling client appointments and Zoom conferences
  • Corresponding with clients as required
  • Drafting and electronic filing using BC Online, BC Registries and LTSA
  • Liase and assist other assistants and the corporate records department as required
  • Other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or certificate in accredited Legal Administrative Assistant program and/or successful career history withrelevant experience; 
  • Minimum of two years related experience as a Corporate Legal Administrative Assistant; 
  • Working knowledge of BC Online, BC Registry Services, LTSA and Microsoft Office (i.e. Outlook, Word andExcel);
  • Ability to demonstrate extraordinary client-focused service;
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task/manage priorities and manage a high volume of work;
  • Work well independently and within a team environment and
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of PC Law, Worldox and Time Matters is an asset.
